Stalybridge welcome new winger
Stalybridge Celtic have announced the signing of Obua Mugalula from Workington AFC.
Mugalula, 23, made nine appearances for the Reds last season and scored seven goals in the club's Cumberland Senior Cup winning campaign, including four during the final against Penrith.
Prior to his time in Cumbria, he played for St Helens in the North West Counties Football League.
The winger has been on trial with Stalybridge Celtic and featured in their pre-season friendly against Salford City.
After securing Mugalula for the 2023/24 season, manager James Kinsey said: "Obua has come in this week and shown what a threat he is from the off. He is physical and really enjoys getting at full-backs. He is direct and we believe he’s got the right personality to fit in here.
"The fans were shouting to sign him up at yesterday’s game, so we know he’ll be a popular signing with them.
"We’re excited to see how he develops here."
