One stays, one goes for Bedworth
Bedworth United have announced versatile Elliott Parrott will be staying with the club, but Ishmael Dawson is departing.
Parrott, 23, is a former Coventry City youngster and has made close to 200 appearances for the club.
He told the club’s official website: “I have been at Bedworth a number of seasons now and the club has become a part of me. It would take something very special to tear me away now. I am looking forward to getting back into pre season and am desperate to help guide the club into the league above where I feel it deserves to be.”
Meanwhile, Dawson is emigrating to Australia to further his teaching career, but will at least remain with the club during pre-season.
Dawson said: “I have really enjoyed my time at Bedworth, but life sometimes gives you opportunities that you cant turn down. I would have loved to return for another season but events outside of football have led me on a path to Australia. I will look back fondly on my time as a Greenback and I will make sure any opportunity I get I will come for a visit.”
