Italian forward joins Mickleover

Oppong made his debut for the club during Saturday's 4-1 defeat at Whitby Town, coming off the bench midway through the second half.

Having played for Union EuroCalcio in Italy, Oppong has recently had trials with Brentford and Middlesborough.

He joins a Mickleover side currently sat in the relegation zone on goal difference.

Gareth Holmes' men find themselves on a six-game winless run in league and cup, scoring just three goals during that time.

Oppong could make his home debut when Northern Premier League leaders Macclesfield visit the Don Amott Arena on Tuesday night.
