Four new arrivals at Mickleover

Mickleover have announced the signings of Brandon Webster, Callum Moore, Dylan Scott and Luke Cox ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Webster arrives at the club after spending last season at Loughborough Dynamo, Ossett United and Brighouse Town.

The left-sided defender began his career at Scunthorpe United, before moving to Sheffield United Academy.

Joining him at the Don Amott Arena for next season is Callum Moore.

The youngster had previously spent the last 10 years of his career at Derby County before he was released this summer.

A right-sided utility player who can operate on the wing or at wing-back, Moore has enjoyed loan spells at Leek Town and Matlock Town last season.

On his move to the club, Moore said: "I had been at Derby 10 years, had been loaned to Leek Town and Matlock and spent pre-season with Derby.

"This is a good move for me, as the club have good facilities and they suit my style of play, but I am taking each step at a time."

Sports have also added young striker Dylan Scott to their squad next season.

The 18-year-old forward arrives on loan from Burton Albion, where he has already featured five times in League One and in the EFL Cup, scoring once.

Scott also spent a portion of last season on loan at Hanley Town, and he believes that his move to Mickleover will stand him in good stead for his hopes of breaking into Burton's first team in the future.

"I have been at Burton since I was 13 and had a few
games on loan at Hanley Town last season," Scott said.

"But with the changes at Burton this season, I didn’t expect to be part of the first team, so I have come to
Mickleover to get experience in men's football."

The club has bolstered its backline with the signing of Luke Cox.

Cox, 22, was most recently plying his trade at Ilkeston Town, making 34 appearances at centre-back last season, scoring on two occasions.

A former Derby County and Sheffield Wednesday youngster, Cox has also played for the likes of Redditch, Chasetown and Long Eaton.

On joining Mickleover, Cox said: "I felt I had fallen out of favour at Ilkeston after losing my place last season and didn’t feel that I was going to be part of the starting line-up, so I looked for a move. I knew scout Mick Bentley and he
recommended me to manager Gareth Holmes."
