Wythenshawe Town FA Cup tie selected for BBC coverage

NPL West Division side Wythenshawe Town will welcome the BBC cameras to Ericstan Park this Saturday, after their FA Cup third qualifying round tie against Farsley Celtic was selected for BBC coverage.

The game will kick off at 12:30pm, with both clubs receiving a £2,000 broadcast fee

Wythenshawe have already toppled four opponents - Chadderton, Runcorn Linnets, Whitchurch Alport and Newcastle Benfield - to reach this stage of the competition for the first time in their history.

Rory Fallon's side have been rewarded with a tie against Farsley, who play two divisions higher in the National League North.

Newcomers to the Northern Premier League pyramid this season, the club have enjoyed a positive start to life at Step 4, picking up 10 points from their opening five league games.

Saturday's game will be available to watch via BBC iPlayer, the red button and BBC Sport website on tablet, phone and desktop.

The BBC will be providing live coverage at every stage of this season's FA Cup.
