Workington appoint Mark Fell as new manager for 24/25 season
Pitching In Northern Premier League side Workington have announced that Mark Fell will take over as manager from next season.
This comes after current boss Danny Grainger announced he would be stepping down in February this year.
This is Fell’s first job back in management since November 2023, when he resigned from fellow Premier Divison side Lancaster City after five years at the helm.
“I’m delighted to be joining Workington AFC. This is a huge club in the NPL, with a great structure and a super fanbase,” Fell said.
“Danny has done an exceptional job and leaves the club with really strong foundations for us to work from.”
Workington are enjoying a first season back in the Premier Division since 2019, after gaining promotion last season under Grainger, scoring the fourth most goals in the division.
This Saturday they travel to Stafford Rangers, where a win or draw will confirm their place in next season's Premier Division.
