Witton Albion welcome back familiar face
Witton Albion have announced the signing of forward James Hooper ahead of Tuesday night's home game against Vauxhall Motors.
Hooper returns for a second spell at the club, having previously been a member of the Albion squad between February 2020 and September 2021.
Last year, the experienced frontman moved Down Under to ply his trade for Moreland City in the National Premier League Victoria - one of eight semi-professional state-based competitions at Step 2 level, immediately below the elite A-League.
He featured 18 times for Linnets last season upon his return, scoring four goals.
Hooper has gone on to make a further seven appearances for the club this season but will now move onto new surroundings, arriving at a Witton side currently on the fringes of the NPL West Division's top five.
Ben Harrison's side have started the season well, winning three of their opening four league games and progressing to the second qualifying round of the FA Cup.
