Wellingborough Town suffer goalkeeper injury setback
Wellingborough Town have announced that Ash Bodycote will be out for a period of time after the goalkeeper broke his ankle in their FA Cup preliminary round game against Aylestone Park.
Despite right-back Will Bates taking the unfamiliar role between the sticks for the majority of the game, the Doughboys kept a clean sheet on their way to a 2-0 win and a place in the first qualifying round.
Bodycote had started every game for Wellingborough this season, and kept a clean sheet in their opening day 1-0 win over Long Eaton United in the NPL Midlands Division.
The club are likely to be in the market for a replacement ahead of their league game against Bedworth United at London Road on August 20.
