Warrington Rylands star Sidibeh earns Scottish Premiership move

Warrington Rylands have announced that top scorer Adama Sidibeh has made the move to full-time football, joining Scottish side St Johnstone for an undisclosed fee.

Sidibeh has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the Saints - having only joined Rylands from NWCFL side Cheadle Heath Nomads over the summer.

The Gambian forward has gone on to play a major role in the Blues' challenge for promotion, scoring 16 goals in total.

With international clearance already received, the 25-year-old could debut for his new club in their crunch meeting with Scottish Premiership rivals Ross County on Saturday.

Discussing the move, Sidibeh said: “I’m delighted to be here and really looking forward to playing for this great club.

“My manager told me earlier this week that St Johnstone had made an enquiry, I was really interested and it’s happened!”

“[Rylands] are a really good group and it’s a great club, but they understand my situation and are very happy for me making this move to Scotland.”

In a statement posted on their official club website, Warrington Rylands paid tribute to the talented forward following his departure.

It read: "The board and all involved at the club are delighted for Adama to get this move to the top level of Scottish football, and would like to thank him for some of the great memories he leaves us with this season."
