Versatile defender joins Hanley Town

Hanley Town have announced the signing of Sean Lawton from fellow NPL West Division side Stafford Rangers.

The young defender joined Boro in July, making 17 appearances in all competitions this season.

A former Crewe Alexandra player, he enjoyed time out on loan at the likes of Hereford and Nantwich Town, before joining National League side Altrincham upon his release from the Railwaymen.

Lawton will go into contention to make his debut for Hanley Town in their next fixture at home to Clitheroe in the Northern Premier League on Saturday.
