Vauxhall Motors bolster attacking options with Quarless arrival
Vauxhall Motors have confirmed the signing of striker Josh Quarless from fellow NPL West Division side Stalybridge Celtic.
The 6'7 frontman spent the early parts of this season at Stalybridge after signing in the summer from City of Liverpool.
He made five appearances for the Celts, scoring once in their 5-0 away win at Atherton Collieries.
His final appearance for the club was as a substitute in a 3-2 defeat at the hands of his new employers.
Quarless was the top scorer for City of Liverpool during the 2023/24 season, netting 14 times.
On his arrival at Rivacre Park, Quarless said: “I know a lot of the lads, so it was an easy decision to make.
“They really impressed me last weekend [against Stalybridge]. I can’t wait to get started.”
Vauxhall Motors manager Danny Holmes said: “Josh will be a massive addition for us. Once we knew he was available, we jumped on it straight away.
“He’s a lad we’ve tried to sign numerous times [so] we’re absolutely buzzing.”
Quarless made his Motors debut from the bench on September 7, as his new side were defeated on penalties by Newton Aycliffe in the FA Trophy.
