Two new additions for Hyde United
Hyde United have announced the signing of right-back Ethen Vaughan and striker Akeel Francis.
The pair have penned permanent deals at the Project Solar Stadium after impressing as trialists during the early weeks of pre-season.
Vaughan joins the club having spent the previous campaign with NPL West Division side Bootle.
He made 13 appearances for the Bucks and also featured on loan at Bradford Park Avenue after the turn of the year, playing a further three games.
"I really think we're going to progress, and I'm happy to be here," Vaughan said following the move.
"I've played in this league before, so I feel like I've got that experience and have a good amount of games under my belt in men's football."
Francis, meanwhile, made an immediate contribution for the Tigers by scoring 10 seconds into their 3-2 pre-season friendly victory over Blackburn Rovers' U21s earlier this month.
The 25-year-old spent last season at Sleaford Town and has previously played for Bradford Park Avenue and Guiseley.
He has also previously enjoyed time in Scotland with Falkirk and Stirling.
