Trio of departures at Basford United

Basford United have confirmed that Tom Angell, Ethan Cartwright and Jaz Goundry have left the club.

Angell, 19, joined the club prior to the start of the 2023/24 season after being released from Sheffield United.

He made six appearances for the Lions.

Also departing Greenwich Avenue is Ethan Cartwright, who also joined Basford United in the summer from Matlock Town.

The 22-year-old midfielder featured eight times and scored once in a 2-1 defeat to Guiseley early in the season.

He leaves the club by mutual agreement for family reasons.

Finally, the club have announced that Jaz Goundry has left the club.

Goundry, 20, is a former Grimsby Town youth player who joined National League North side Alfreton Town prior to his move to the Lions in August this year.
