Trio of arrivals for AFC Rushden & Diamonds

AFC Rushden & Diamonds have confirmed the signings of Bleu McNeil, Carter Price and Joe Malkin ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Firstly, McNeil joins the club from United Counties League Premier Division South side Newport Pagnell Town.

The 28-year-old full-back has also previously played for the likes of Kettering Town and Daventry Town.

On his move to Hayden Road, McNeil said: "I'm really pleased to have the chance to play for a Club like AFC Rushden & Diamonds and can't wait for the season to get underway. I'm really looking forward to playing in front of the fans."

Joining him in Michael Harriman's squad next season is Carter Price.

Price, 24, is a midfielder who has previously featured for Newport Pagnell Town, Daventry Town and Wellingborough Town.

Speaking on his move to The Diamonds, he said: "I can't wait to get going with Diamonds. It's been a good pre-season so far and I'm looking forward to getting the season underway. I particularly can't wait for the first game, playing in front of the great fans here."

The club have also announced the signing of Joe Malkin for the upcoming campaign.

The 27-year-old full-back was most recently plying his trade at United Counties League side Bugbrooke St Michaels.

A former Raunds Town, Desborough Town and Cogenhoe United player, he brings a wealth of experience from his time at Step 5.

On signing for the club, Malkin said: "I'm absolutely buzzing at the opportunity to pull on this shirt.

"It's a massive club with a huge fan base, so it was a no-brainer to sign on.

"I like what I've seen here so far, we've got the makings of a really good squad and I'm confident we'll have a really good year. I cannot wait to get started."
