Title-winning trio depart Leek Town

Leek Town have confirmed the departures of Aaron Opoku, Louis Keenan and Daniel Trickett-Smith ahead of the 24/25 season.

All three played an important role in last season’s league-winning campaign, each making over 30 appearances, with 32-year-old left-back Keenan featuring in all 38 league games.

He’ll depart after five years at the club, totalling over 150 appearances.

Former Tamworth and Carlton Town forward Opoku leaves after two seasons at Harrison Park.

Attacking midfielder Trickett-Smith joins Hednesford Town after amassing 19 goals in 32 appearances last season.

Leek Town begin their pre-season in just under a month’s time as they host League 2 side Port Vale on July 10th.
