Third time lucky for Scarisbrick at Bootle
Bootle have signed talented midfielder Andy Scarisbrick as they continue to bolster ahead of the new season.
Scarisbrick returns to the Berry Street Garage Stadium for a third spell, having spent much of pre-season with Northern Premier League newcomers Prescot Cables.
He made the move to Cables earlier in the summer having played a key role for Bury last season as they narrowly missed out on promotion from the NWCFL.
However, a turbulent few days off the field - which saw manager Ste Daley replaced by Dave Dempsey, whose subsequent resignation less than 72 hours later led to Daley being reinstated - resulted in Scarisbrick being one of several players to leave the club on the eve of their first season at Step 3 for well over a decade.
Scarisbrick will be keen to help Bootle escape the NPL West Division - a feat he achieved during his time at Warrington Rylands.
With the Blues, he secured back-to-back promotions and was also part of their FA Vase-winning squad of 2020/21.
On the new signing, an official Bootle statement read: "This addition to Bootle’s squad bolsters the forwards department.
"The fans and squad have another reason to believe they can push for the long-craved promotion at the end of the season.
"Another promotion and possibly even a cup winners medal will benefit both Scarisbrick and the Bootle faithful, and we’re really looking forward to watching him play at the Berry Street Garage Stadium once again."
