Talented goalkeeper joins Bootle
Bootle will have a new man between the sticks next season, in the shape of former Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Owen Mooney.
Mooney joined the Latics from Liverpool at U14s level and rose through the ranks, going on to feature for their U18s and U21s teams.
As part of his development, he spent time in non-league and previously experienced the Pitching In NPL West Division during a work experience loan with Newcastle Town.
Mooney also featured for Runcorn Linnets and spent time on loan at Atherton Collieries in the Northern Premier League earlier this year.
He will look to add solidity at the back for a Bucks side which shipped 61 goals during the 2022/23 campaign - only four teams conceded more across the season.
The goalkeeper becomes the club's latest summer arrival, with towering defender Tom Moore one of several to have already committed to the club ahead of the new campaign.
