Stockton Town sign young goalkeeper

Stockton Town have brought in young goalkeeper Niall Frampton.

The 20-year-old started training with the club at the end of last season and has now penned terms ahead of the new season.

Frampton started out at Sunderland RCA and played in the Northern League before a brief spell in Italy.

Since his return to UK, he has featured for Tweedmouth Rangers.

Frampton has featured for the Anchors throughout pre-Season, including 90 minutes against Guisborough Town in their most recent pre-season friendly.

“It feels really good to finally sign for Stockton Town," he said.

"I've really enjoyed my time here so far. I would like to thank Michael Dunwell, JD Briggs and John Fielding for giving me the opportunity to train at the end of last season.”

“I love playing football, and any opportunity I get to play football, I take it with open arms.

"I am looking forward to seeing all the fans at the first game of season.

"I have seen and heard great things about the fan base at Stockton Town, and it’s not disappointed so far.”
