Step 5 striker steps up for AFC Rushden & Diamonds
AFC Rushden & Diamonds have confirmed the arrival of frontman Jamal Adams from MFL Premier Division side Studley FC.
The 24-year-old has impressed in his trial period with Diamonds, scoring the opening goal in their recent 2-1 win over Daventry Town.
Adams is a proven goalscorer in the division below his new side, scoring 15 goals in 33 appearances for Coventry United last season before his move to Studley, who narrowly missed out on the play-offs as a result of goals scored.
Rushden & Diamonds manager Michael Harriman is excited to see what his new signing can do in the Northern Premier League pyramid, saying: “He adds a different dynamic for us in forward areas.
“He can hold up the ball and also get in behind and he clearly has an eye for goal. He’s a fantastic addition to the club.”
