Steels sign young shot stopper
Stocksbridge Park Steels have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Ben Townsend from Handsworth.
Townsend spent time at Worksop Town before he signed for the Ambers in 2019.
He amassed a total of 98 appearances over three seasons with Handsworth and became a fan’s favourite among the home fans.
The new Steels keeper is set to make his debut in front of the home fans on Saturday as they face North Shields at Bracken Moor.
