Steels secure services of Belgian winger
Stocksbridge Park Steels have announced the signing of winger Basile Zottos from Liversedge.
Born in Brussels, the 20-year-old joined Ilkeston Town in the summer, making two appearances before moving to Liversedge in August.
The former Sheffield Wednesday youth player featured five times for Sedge, but was unable to settle and instead has answered Steels manager Ian Richards' call.
Zottos has also previously played for the likes of Ossett United and Sheffield FC.
On the signing, a Stocksbridge Park Steels club official said: “Basile’s a young winger who did well at Sheffield last season.
“He’s someone that can get up the pitch with the way he manages the ball. He’s sharp and quick and will add another dimension to Ian’s squad.”
Due to being cup tied, Zottos will not feature in the Steels’ FA Trophy Second Qualifying Round clash away at Vauxhall Motors on Saturday, but will make his debut for the Steels in their next league match on Tuesday at home against Grimsby Borough.
