Steelmen bring in new keeper
Corby Town have announced the capture of goalkeeper Tomasz Bukowski.
He has been playing his football with Leicestershire-based Quorn AFC, having featured 21 times for Southern League side Coalville Town in the previous campaign.
He signed for Ilkeston ahead of the 2022/23 season but has since gone in search of further game time.
Discussing the move, Corby manager Lee Attenborough said: “With Jason Alexander picking up another injury and one that looks a bit more serious this time, I felt we needed to move quickly to bring in another goalkeeper.
“I’m delighted we’ve managed to get Tomasz. I felt he played a pivotal role in Coalville reaching the Step 3 play-offs last season.
“He is very agile, quick off his line and a good kicker so has a lot of really good attributes.
“He’s got a great attitude and is really looking to get stuck into a new challenge, so for us, it’s the perfect fit.
Bukowski will go straight into the squad for their home game against Daventry Town on Boxing Day.
