Stalybridge bolster frontline with 6’7” striker
Stalybridge Celtic have confirmed the signing of Josh Quarless from City of Liverpool FC.
Quarless was the top scorer of a Purps side that scored 69 goals in the 23/24 season, second only to champions Leek Town. His 14 league goals had him joint-eighth in the division's scoring charts.
Standing at 6'7", target man Quarless was high on Celtic manager James Kinsey’s radar.
“When we put together our list of targets for next season, Josh was absolutely top of the list,” Kinsey said.
“When he became available, we acted quickly to ensure we could sign him and we are delighted to have managed to do that,” he added.
Stalybridge Celtic begin their pre-season away at Abbey Hey on July 3.
