Stafford Rangers bring in Championship loanee
Stafford Rangers have signed Preston North End midfielder Kian Taylor on loan for the remainder of the season.
Taylor, who is highly rated at Preston, was an unused substitute for the opening three games of the Championship season and played 45 minutes in their penalty shoot-out defeat to Salford City in the first round of the Carabao Cup back in August.
The young midfielder, 19, was brought in ahead of the Northern Premier League transfer deadline and made his Stafford debut over the Easter weekend.
Taylor came on as a substitute in both Saturday’s 1-0 home win against Workington and 2-1 defeat away at Gainsborough Trinity on Easter Monday.
Dave Cooke’s side currently sit six points from safety with four games remaining. They host Whitby Town this Saturday.
In other news at the Stan Robinson Stadium, Rangers’ U21 prospect Max Raine has been added to the senior squad.
The young attacking midfielder becomes the eighth youngster to sign first team forms and will also feature on dual-registration at Pilkington FC over the coming weeks.
