Sporting Khalsa move for Walsall Wood defender

Sporting Khalsa have confirmed the signing of Jack Kelly from Walsall Wood.

The 28-year-old full-back made 13 appearances in all competitions for The Wood after joining the club in the summer from Hednesford Town.

A Nottingham Forest Academy player, Kelly began his senior career at Hemel Hempstead Town in 2016, before a spell at Kettering Town saw him join Cymru Premier side Newton AFC.

In 2022, he returned to the Midlands to play for Shifnal Town, and later joined Hednesford Town, making 38 appearances and scoring once for the Pitmen during the 2023/24 season.

Kelly will go into contention to make his debut for Sporting Khalsa in their next fixture away at Barwell in the FA Trophy First Round on Saturday.
