Southport forward makes Northern Premier League loan move

Stafford Rangers have brought in Southport forward Connor Heath on loan until the end of the season.

Heath is well-known to new Rangers boss Dave Cooke, having played under him at Nantwich Town.

The 23-year-old began his career at Crewe Alexandra before joining Nantwich, and has also had National League North experience at Farsley Celtic and Southport.

The club say Heath is "another strong, powerful forward who will add to the options available" to their new manager as he looks to assemble a squad capable of staving off relegation fears.

Stafford currently sit bottom of the Northern Premier League with 11 points, having won just three of their opening 19 matches.

It has been a busy few days at Marston Road, with Derek Ubah, Lewis Porter and Sean Cooke - son of manager Dave - also arriving at the club.
