Shepshed Dynamo turn to familiar face as manager
Gary Drake has been unveiled as the new manager of Shepshed Dynamo.
Drake is no stranger to the Dovecote Stadium, having spent two-and-a-half years as assistant to Damion Beckford-Quailey.
He returns to the club from NPL Midlands Division rivals Rugby Town, where he has been serving in the same role since May.
Drake previously worked as a football coach in Canada and New York, where he won Academy Coach of the Year at New York Red Bulls.
He also spent time as a community and academy coach at Nottingham Forest, Leicester City and Doncaster Rovers.
On the appointment, chairman Mick Sloan said: "I’d like to welcome Gary Drake back into the Shepshed fold, but this time as gaffer."
The club find themselves 20th in the NPL Midlands Division, a point and a place above Drake's former club.
They have won just once in all competitions since mid-August and are next in action away at league leaders Corby Town on Saturday.
