Scarisbrick leaves Bootle for National League North

Bootle have confirmed that midfielder Andy Scarisbrick has departed the club to re-join Marine.

He re-joined the Berry Street Garage Stadium in August for his third spell with the club.

Since then, he made 26 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals.

However, he will now depart the Bucks to take up an opportunity at Step 2 with his former club Marine.

On re-joining the Mariners, Scarisbrick said: "I’m really excited to be back at Marine. When the opportunity came to come back, I had to take it.

“I’m looking forward to getting going and meeting the lads, to play my part in the long-term goals of the club.”

Marine manager Neil Young added: "We have made no secret that we need more attacking options and the need to chip in with goals from midfield.

"Andy over many seasons has proven that he understands the position and has got lots of chances from that attacking midfield position.

“He has been with us before so he knows how we work and I believe he will be a big asset to our squad going into the second half of the season.”
