Robins swoop for Avro forward
Avro striker Louis Potts has become Ashton United's second summer acquisition.
The former Mossley man scored 11 times in 13 games for Avro last season, playing a vital part in the Oldham-based side's promotion to the Pitching In NPL West Division.
Potts came through the ranks at Championship side Preston North End and will further bolster the Robins' forward line after Jason Gilchrist agreed new terms with the club earlier in the week.
On signing Potts, manager Steve Cunningham said: "I was watching another target but saw Louis in some of the footage and I said 'I want him!'
"Louis has an eye for goal and I believe he he could be the 'rough diamond' of the season."
