Radcliffe sign impressive trialist

Midfielder Brad Jackson has been unveiled as Radcliffe's ninth summer signing.

After a successful trial period with the club, Jackson has put pen to paper on a deal ahead of the forthcoming season.

The former Altrincham and Chester midfielder links up with former team-mates Anthony Dudley, Jamie Morgan, Jordan Hulme and Jordan Hancock, all of whom have joined the club as part of a summer overhaul led by recently-appointed managerial duo Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley.

He spent the majority of last season playing for Buxton in the National League North, guiding them to a mid-table finish after joining on loan from Altrincham in January.

Jackson is no stranger to his new joint-bosses, having played under them whilst at Chester. During his time working under the pair at the Seals, he scored five goals in 71 appearance and was also voted in the club's Team of the Decade.

“I’m buzzing to have got this sorted and signed with Radcliffe," he said following the move.

"It’s a club I’ve known and played against before. I’ve had a few games this pre-season at home and I can already tell the fan base is class with the numbers we’ve got in

"Obviously I was attracted to the club by its ambition for the season. It’s always good to play for a team that wants to achieve big things.

"It’s also important for me that I spent a few years playing under Bernard and Jonno previously. They know what I’m like, what I can do and I’m familiar with the type of football they play.

"I’ve played with half of the squad from previous clubs so it doesn’t feel like I need time to settle in.

Fo"r me I just want to help the club achieve its goals, if I’m playing my best football, then I hope that gives the club it’s biggest chance of achieving that this season.”
