Purps homecoming for exciting winger
City of Liverpool have announced the return of forward Xenon Bahula.
The exciting young winger burst onto the scene in 2021 after impressing during pre-season, and went on to make 28 appearances in his debut campaign with the Purps.
Bahula departed the club last summer to join Northern Premier League side Marine, before going on to join Burscough on dual-registration.
He enjoyed a stellar season with the Linnets, making 32 appearances and scoring nine goals, whilst also picking up 15 Man of the Match awards – the most in the NWCFL during the 2022/23 campaign.
City of Liverpool manager Paul McNally said: “Xenon is a player I have been personally trying to bring in since early last season, but he remained loyal to his previous club.
“We identified him as a great talent that will get our fans very excited when he is on the ball and attacking in the final third of the pitch.
“He’s another one we are delighted to bring to the club, and all three of the new lads fit into the identity of what we are building within the group of players we already have here."
