Purps bolster their defence
City of Liverpool have announced the signing of defender Jack Hont.
Following the midweek signings of Ben Barnes and Liam Hollett, the Purps have strengthened their defence further, signing left-back Hont from Skelmersdale.
The 25-year-old played for Skem during his youth, and has since had spells for Runcorn Town and Prestatyn Town before returning to the Community Ground.
Hont departs a Skem side sitting 13th in the West Division, having made 16 appearances for the side this season.
Purps manager Paul McNally spoke to the club’s official site and said: “Jack is a player who has all the attributes to play higher up the football pyramid,"
“And we are delighted to finally be able to bring him here.
“He fits the profile of a player we are looking to bring into the club."
Hont could be set to make his debut later this evening as the Purps travel to Prescot Cables ahead of their league clash.
