Portuguese midfielder joins Spalding United
Spalding United have announced the signing of Wilson Carvalho ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The 29-year-old winger was most recently playing for Southern League club Kings Langley.
Born in Lisbon, Carvalho was a product of Fulham’s Academy, before moving to the centre of excellence at Stevenage in 2010.
After a period of loan spells, Carvalho joined Corby Town in 2014, going on to score 11 goals in 51 appearances as they secured the Southern League Premier title.
In 2019, he made his Football League debut when he signed for League One Accrington Stanley, where he made eight appearances.
He subsequently returned to non-league following his release from Accrington Stanley, linking up with clubs such as Hampton & Richmond Borough, Hendon, Walton Casuals, Hayes & Yeading United and Westfield.
Carvalho now makes the move to the Northern Premier League with Spalding United after training with the club for a period of time.
Tulips manager Elliot Sandy will be hoping to utilise Carvalho’s experience to overturn last season’s playoff final defeat.
