Portugese midfielder joins Hednesford Town

Hednesford Town have announced the signing of Adriano Moke from National League North side Darlington.

Moke, 34, joined the Quakers in March 2022 following his release from Spennymoor Town.

He was sent on loan to Ashton United in February where he made two appearances in back-to-back 1-1 draws.

The Portuguese midfielder, who started his career in the academies of Leeds and Nottingham Forest, joined York City in 2011, where he helped them to secure promotion to the Football League and win the FA Trophy at Wembley a year later.

Since then, he has enjoyed spells at the likes of Tamworth, Macclesfield, Halifax, Stockport, Wrexham and Boreham Wood.

In 2016, he returned to the Minstermen and won his second FA Trophy in 2017, before departing to Spennymoor Town in 2020.

Moke will go into contention to make his debut for the Pitmen in today's home fixture against Leek Town in the Northern Premier League.
