Planning permission granted for new Hebburn Town Community Hub
Hebburn Town have announced that their plans for a new Community Hub have come a step closer to fruition.
It comes as planning permission for the project was approved by South Tyneside Council's Planning Committee.
The club say it is "a major milestone in the project", adding that the decision is a "reflection of the hard work and dedication put in already by everyone involved with the project".

The project is expected to deliver a suite of modern sporting facilities, including a FIFA Pro‑certified artificial main pitch and a dedicated 3G training pitch.
A new Main Stand at Hebburn Sports Ground forms the centrepiece of the development.
The club say the project has been designed to transform the spectator experience, with their new stand incorporating tiered seating, terraced areas, new changing facilities, a gym, club shop, hospitality spaces, and a flexible function room, complete with a balcony overlooking the pitch.

The project will also see big improvements in access, with new pedestrian access into the ground.
"I’m absolutely delighted that the club have secured planning permission for this development," club CEO Stephen Rutherford said.
"It is a hugely positive step forward for Hebburn Town FC and the wider South Tyneside community. These new facilities will not only enhance the matchday experience for supporters, but also create a modern, year-round hub for football at every level - from grassroots participation to the first team.

"We’re proud to deliver a project that strengthens the club’s role at the heart of our community and provides high-quality spaces for players, fans, and local residents to enjoy for many years to come.
"This development is more than a building and pitches. It’s about reinforcing a place our community love to come to."
