Paul Rawden returns to Grantham
Grantham Town have announced they have reappointed manager Paul Rawden ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Rawden was previously in charge of the Gingerbreads between 2019 and 2020. In his first game in charge, they beat the league leaders South Shields to kickstart their fight for survival in the Premier Division.
Since then, he has had spells at the likes of Newark FC and Sleaford Town in lower divisions.
Rawden is excited to be back involved, and cannot wait to see the fans again.
It's been a busy 24 hours on the phone making sure we hit the ground running but I’m looking forward to the challenge again,” he said.
“It will be great to see the Supporters again. A lot has happened recently and I hope we can get smiles on their faces quickly."
Interim chair Sophie Cope added: “Someone like Paul has been in and around the game for a number of years and has a lot [of] contacts which became the deciding factor in the end.
"For now all I can hope is we can get back to enjoying winning some football matches and get behind the team whoever is in the dugout."
