Ossett United sign four trialists
Ossett United have announced the permanent capture of four trialists who featured against Widnes on Saturday.
The quartet, who impressed in Saturday's 1-0 pre-season win, all come in to bolster Grant Black’s squad in time for their FA Cup extra preliminary round clash with 1874 Northwich next weekend.
Darnell Mintus, Rafa Ferreira, Desmond Amponsah and Essa Ndow have linked up with the Sheepicorns as they look to improve upon last season's 15th-placed finish in the Pitching In NPL East Division.
Mintus came through the ranks at Huddersfield Town, while ex-Pickering Town and Guiseley man Ferreira, 21, has been snapped up despite picking up a minor injury earlier in pre-season.
Amponsah, 23, made six appearances for Liversedge during the 2022/23 campaign, and Ndow arrives at Ingfield following a stint with Tadcaster Albion.
The Sheepicorns' league season will get underway on August 12 with a trip to Sheffield.
