Number two steps up as successor
Lee Attenborough was named as the new manager of EVO-STIK League Loughborough Dynamo on Saturday after stepping up to succeed Peter Ward.
Appointed at the Nanpantan Sports Ground in December 2016 alongside Andy Kinsey, the resignation of former Belper Town, Kidsgrove Athletic, Lancaster City, Nantwich Town and Newcastle Town boss Ward was announced in a brief statement at lunchtime.
Attenborough, who kicked off his management career at the helm of Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division outfit Sileby Town before switching to East Midlands Counties League Ashby Avenue, helped Ward stave off relegation from EVO-STIK League South after joining his touchline team last year.
Attenborough takes charge of a Dynamo side preparing to kick off in the new EVO-STIK League East Division. A full statement on Ward's departure for fans is expected to be released by club officials on Saturday.
