NPL round-up | Saturday 7 December
The high winds and heavy rain caused by Storm Darragh meant just three games survived the elements in the Northern Premier League's top division on Saturday.
With Macclesfield in FA Trophy action, Guiseley closed the gap at the top to 12 points with a 3-1 win at home to Whitby Town.
Will Longbottom continued his fine start to the campaign with two more goals, adding to Jameel Ible's 18th minute opener as he moved onto a league-high 16 goals for the season.
Adam Gell did level for Whitby shortly after the half-hour mark, but the Seasiders fell short against a Guiseley side who are now nine games unbeaten in the league.
Elsewhere, in perhaps the game of the weekend, three goals in 13 second-half minutes were enough to see Ilkeston Town past Worksop Town.
Colin Daniel scored twice for the Robins, who are now locked on 35 points with third-placed Worksop but below them on goal difference.
The only other game of the weekend came at Harrison Park, where Hyde United climbed back into the top five with a 1-1 against Leek Town.
Substitute Ayo Quadri scored seconds after his introduction for Hyde as the game entered the final 20 minutes, cancelling out Hayden Campbell's first-half opener for Leek.
A point keeps the Blues second-bottom in the table, but they're now just two points from safety.
