Newly-crowned Player of the Season joins Hednesford Town
Hednesford Town have confirmed the signing of Rob Stevenson after the forward departed 2023/24 NPL West Division champions Leek Town.
Last season, Stevenson captured the division’s Golden Boot award with 21 goals, with a further five coming in cup competitions. He also secured the League and Fans’ Player of the Season accolades.
Stevenson joins former team-mate Daniel Trickett-Smith as the second player to make the move to the Pitmen from Leek this summer.
On reuniting the forward pairing, Hednesford Town manager Steve King said: “Both [Rob] and Dan produced almost 50 goals between them at Leek Town last season, and the chemistry they bring is invaluable.
“Rob’s goal-scoring record as well as his all round style of play was something I wanted to bring to the club.
“We have had to work extremely hard to get this one over the line, and I am delighted that he is here as a Hednesford Town player.”
