New faces for FC United ahead of FA Cup action
FC United of Manchester have made two additions to their squad ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup first qualifying round tie against Hyde United.
Young Burnley goalkeeper Charlie Casper has joined the club on a 28-day loan, while attacking midfielder Keane Barugh has returned to Broadhurst Park on a permanent deal following his departure from Football League side Stockport County.
For goalkeeper Casper, the loan move marks his first spell away from Burnley since signing a scholarship deal with the Clarets in July 2021.
Grandson of club legend Frank Casper, the 19-year-old signed his first professional deal in June last year and has featured sporadically on their first team bench.
Barugh, meanwhile, is no stranger to FC United supporters, having featured a number of times on loan for the club last year.
Discussing the move, he said: "I’m delighted to be back at FC United and have loved every minute here previously.
“I can’t wait to get back out there playing and hopefully help the team move forward."
