New arrivals at Pontefract Collieries
Centre-back Danny Burns has been confirmed as Pontefract Collieries' first summer signing.
Burns will look to provide strength and experience to Colls' backline as they prepare for another season in the Pitching In NPL East Division.
He lists Worksop Town, Sheffield FC and Stalybridge Celtic amongst his former clubs.
"I’m very happy to get it all sorted and be joining the club," Burns said.
"I’ll be looking to add some solidarity at the back and be a voice on the pitch to help my team-mates around me and keep some clean sheets in order to put us up the top end of the table."
Also linking up with Burns at Colls is fellow defender Connor Smythe.
He has spent the last few years at Worksop Town and Liversedge but will now return to the Hunters Stadium as they look to build upon last season's mid-table finish.
