Moore and manager on a mission

Market Drayton Town's new chairman Paul Moore will outline his plans for the EVO-STIK League club to fans at an open meeting on Tuesday night.

Named on Friday as the successor to Ben Cookham, the former Colwyn Bay, Clitheroe, Kidsgrove and Northwich manager will be at the Greenfields Sports Ground to meet supporters for the first time and answer their questions alongside newly re-appointed manager Martyn Davies.

Davies, pictured below, is set to take charge for the first time since leaving in September on Saturday when Town host bottom-markers Romulus in EVO-STIK League South after the club announced his return at the weekend to succeed his own successor, former Hinckley boss Carl Abbott following his exit last week after less than three months at the helm.

A spokesman for the Gingerbread Men said: "The rebuilding continues on Tuesday night. New chairman Paul Moore and returning boss 'Slap' will be holding an open meeting. Their plans for the direction of the club is the main topic and everyone is welcome. This is a great opportunity for fans to finally have a say."

Moore, pictured, was named on Friday as the successor to Ben Cookham following an emergency meeting of fans in the wake of his predecessor's resignation after a year at the helm. A successful businessman who managed in the EVO-STIK League for 14 years and can name Portsmouth and Hull City among his former clubs as a player, Moore will explain his vision for the Shropshire club after takinh up his first administrative role in the game.
