McCormick is new number two
EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Market Drayton Town have named Steve McCormick as their new assistant-manager.
The former Scottish striker, 47, was unveiled at the Greenfields Sports Ground on Monday night as number two to manager Martyn Davies at the EVO-STIK NPL First Division South club.
McCormick turned out for a number of professional clubs north of the border including Queens Park, Stirling Albion, Dundee, Greenock Morton, Airdrie, East Fife, Clydebank and Dumbarton.
In the 1990s he enjoyed a short spell with Leyton Orient before moving on to play in the Welsh Premier at Newtown, Connah`s Quay Nomads and Cwmbran Town before retiring in 2004.
A club spokesman said: "Steve will add vital experience to manager Martyn Davies' coaching team."
