Market Drayton manager resigns

Market Drayton Town are looking for a new manager following the resignation of Richard Brown.

Brown, who played in the Football League for Walsall, took over last October having previously been assistant to Dan Stevens.

But Drayton have only managed four points from 11 games this season, which sees them sat at the foot of the NPL West Division table.

A club statement said: “Browny has played football at a high level and is very well respected in the local football scene; despite giving 100% to the cause Richard was unable to turn his commitment into results.

“Thanks Richard for your efforts - you are a 'genuine top bloke', who will always be very welcome at MDTFC.”

Market Drayton Town are now actively seeking a new First Team Manager; enquiries should be directed via email to [email protected]
