Marine bring in Wrexham defender on loan
Marine have signed young Wrexham defender Scott Butler on loan until the end of the season.
Butler represented Swansea City at youth level before signing a deal with his hometown club Wrexham in October 2022.
The 21-year-old has spent much of this season out on loan at Pitching In NPL West Division side Nantwich Town, making 32 appearances in all competitions for the Dabbers.
Butler made his Wrexham first team debut in the FA Trophy last January, and was also in the matchday squad for their FA Cup matches against Coventry City and Sheffield United last season.
Capable of operating across the backline but primarily at centre-back, he will spend the remainder of the season at Step 3, helping to support Marine's promotion push.
He joins an in-form Mariners side currently third in the Northern Premier League table following Saturday's 7-1 thrashing of Bamber Bridge - a game which Butler appeared in as a second half substitute.
