Macclesfield sign ex-Watford defender after successful trial
Defender Scott Holding has been unveiled as Macclesfield's ninth signing of the summer.
The 20-year-old adds to the club's defensive options after impressing on trial following his recent departure from Championship side Watford.
He came on as a second-half substitute during their 2-1 victory over NPL West Division side Stalybridge Celtic on Tuesday night.
During his time at Watford, Holding had two loan spells with Stalybridge and Dover Athletic, making 25 appearances in the National League South last season.
He could make his competitive debut for the Silkmen when they visit Worksop Town on the opening weekend of the Northern Premier League season next month.
