Macclesfield promote youth player to first team
Macclesfield have announced that young midfielder Basit Yusuff has signed a first-team contract.
Yusuff was initially involved with the Silkmen after enrolling in their BTEC Academy, before joining their International Academy alongside the University of Central Lancashire.
The midfielder has primarily played in the U23 and reserves set-up but was called up to train with the first-team squad during pre-season.
Yusuff impressed new Macclesfield head coach Robbie Savage, who has awarded him with his first senior contract.
The club have also announced the loan signing of forward Joe Boggan from Blackburn Rovers.
The 17-year-old recently penned his first professional contract at Ewood Park after featuring for their U18s and U21s.
An exciting attacking prospect, he joins the Silkmen on a 'Youth Loan' to broaden his experience in a first-team environment.
