Macclesfield bolster frontline with former Barrow striker
Macclesfield have announced the arrival of striker Courtney Duffus following his departure from League Two side Barrow.
The 28-year-old spent last season at Holker Street, as well as a period on loan at National League side Hartlepool United, making nine appearances for each club.
Duffus, who came through Everton’s academy, has also appeared for Oldham and Morecambe in League One.
The frontman has proven his goalscoring prowess in the National League, averaging a goal every three games in just under 70 appearances at Step 1, and will provide extra attacking reinforcements for a Macclesfield side aiming for promotion.
Life under manager Robbie Savage has started positively, winning their first three games in the Northern Premier League this season.
Duffus will be available to make his debut when the Silkmen travel to Ilkeston Town on August 20.
