Liversedge land Ross McCormack
Liversedge have announced the impressive signing of former Leeds United star Ross McCormack.
McCormack joins the club as a player/director of football ahead of the new Pitching In NPL East Division season.
The 36-year-old enjoyed a glittering spell at Elland Road, scoring 58 times and adding 31 assists during 157 games over a four-season period.
He went on to join Fulham before subsequently linking up with Aston Villa in August 2016, in a move worth approximately £12m.
At international level, McCormack has been capped 12 times by Scotland, scoring twice.
He made his national team debut in a 3-1 defeat to the Czech Republic in May 2008, coming on as a substitute.
McCormack's move to the Clayborn Ground is a major coup for Sedge, who were relegated from the Northern Premier League last season.
They begin their new campaign at home to Cleethorpes Town on Saturday 12 August.
